Chateau Certan de May’s location in Pomerol is about as good as it gets. Just between Petrus, Vieux Certan and La Fleur Petrus, the is the most expensive dirt in all of Bordeaux.
This is about as good as it gets in terms of terroir. This tiny estate produced a heck of a wine in 2011, full of truffles, leather, spice and is laced with minerals and plenty of ripe black fruits to balance the umami. This wine all about the savory though and is the perfect companion to braised meats and winter stews!
